Kong losing both his arms is a bit of stretch. But it's very likely for Kong to wear two upgraded gauntlets in the next movie. The B.E.A.S.T. Glove crafted by Monarch was just an unfinished prototype. Kong could wear an upgraded model for both of his hands. Giving him extra armor and strength. It's not the upgrade I want for Kong, but it seems to be very likely that will happen. I much prefer Kong just getting natural lightning powers and wielding a new and more powerful weapon instead but that's just me
