Fun Fact: the 1966 cartoon The King Kong Show inspired the 1967 Toho/Rankin Bass film King Kong Escapes, a very campy and rather entertaining movie IMO.

I'm glad to see the original King Kong cartoon from the 1960s up first - I'm amazed how many people don't remember that show (even my brother didn't remember it, and I know for a fact he watched it with me when we were kids!) I used to work stock at a pet store, and when I'd be working the Kong dog toys, I'd start going into the theme song "King Kong, You know the name of, King Kong, Ten times as big as a man"... and my co-workers had no idea what I was singing! 😂
