Here in Australia, most people takes these ADV bikes well and truly off-road, deep into the bush and desert, we have some great suspension people in this country that make these bikes even more capable in those environments.

Can confirm T7 = cushy big dirtbike vibes.

Can also confirm, was called a lunatic for taking it down singletrack, and lived. 2nd gear and clutching for most of it too.

It does road, it does gravel, and it bombs down singletrack, all while being super simple. Swiss army bike.
Has some flaws, but overall it's a winner.

TLDR: Yamaha made a better KLR650.

Got 2000 miles on my Teneré 700 so far, and loving it! Having a blast in the dirt, planning some big dirt road trips.

Like the Classical music in background. So refreshing compare to the obvious rock metal music always paired with motorcycle video. You guys are doing a great job. Thank you

The older I get the more I find myself looking at this class of bike. For me the one I've watched a lot of videos on and find myself gravitating toward though is the 650 V-Strom.

As a huge outdoorsman seeing the high prices of adventure bikes nearly broke my heart! It's between a CB500X or T7 now

Dude, this is the best review of this bike I've seen, and I watched FortNine's epic production. I've been looking at a potential secondary future bike, and when I saw that Yamaha makes a smaller, lighter version of the Super Tenere, I was immediately interested. I started looking around for online reviews and found yours. This is exactly what I would be looking for in a beginner ADV bike, and the engine size, power and smoothness is perfect. Thanks for providing 3 types of terrain; rough / mud; light dirt / gravel; and pavement.

Here is my dream Yamaha WR350R or T3 and ideal features that I would love to have,
- Wet Weight 325 - 350 lbs
- Engine 350cc
- Seat Height 33.2inches (3"4' lower than wr250r). Same seat height as Yamaha DT125 1983 model.
- Wider and more comfortable Seat for long distance ride
- Gas Tank capacity 3 Gallons
- Max load over 400lbs just like wr250r
- Better Front and Rear Suspensions
- Brighter lights LED lights
- Better electronics system for add-on extra lights. But not drain the battery.
- Price $7699
- Long maintenance intervals just like WR250R or T7
- Should be comfortable on Highway with 80mph true speed.
- ABS on/off
- Don't put the exhaust pipe low like T7. But put it like DT125 1983 or WR250R and make sure to not burn the cover or anything by it.

Thanks A LOT YAMMIEE. I love your channel, watch and like everyone for over a year now. I live in South Africa and Adventure bikes are more popular here as we do have so many gravel roads that you can travel accross the country avoiding tar roads almost completely. I ride a Dakar Bmw GS, which is a cheap, very simple, capable and reliable bike. Thanks for all you guys hard work making quality and interesting entertaining videos.

5k miles and I love my T7. Sold a couple of my other bikes because this is just so much fun in in a variety of riding. Pretty peppy in town. Easily does long miles but agree the stock seats needs a cushion or the rally seat. I’ve even taken this on MX tracks and it surprisingly does well. Don’t get me wrong it’s no MX bike but u can run it fairly hard and even with the stock suspension it can handle jumps no problem. The only thing I upgraded was a heavier rear spring because that bottoms pretty easy with the stock spring. I kept my CB1000 for when want to go fast and twisties but honestly when I have 50/50 tire on the T7 is pretty fun on the twisters in a different kind of way. Only gripe is this bike is top heavy and a beotch to lift in off road conditions.

I’ve had mine since April and the ONLY thing I’ve changed is the windshield. I would like to change the seat as it gets really hard after a hundred or so miles. Oh, I also went up 1 tooth on the counter shaft sprocket because I do a 125 mile ride each way to the VA every month. I’m 60 years old and been riding since I was 4. I’ve ridden everything from Honda SL’s to Ducati’s and this is the best motorcycle I’ve ever owned. Number 28.

this is on my list of 2nd bike. as a new rider, who started out on a smaller bike. this as a middle weight is the perfect upgrade. Just hope they're not as scarce in a year or two.
