I find it clever that theres many moments where gothel kisses/holds/hugs rapunzels hair, and not rapunzel herself. While Flynn is seen pushing the hair out of the way at the end of "I see the light" to get to HER. I think its REALLY clever imagery that I didnt notice until recently. Man, I love this film

The main reason why the movie costed so much was because of them having to animate the hair correctly

In the original rapunzel the prince and rapunzel get twins (before getting married, she got pregnant in the tower) and the prince is blinded by the witch (his eyes are scraped out by thorns) until rapunzels tears repair them.
