The biggest question is how come the most "civilized and advanced" nations have to rely on pure military power for building economic relations throughout the world. The cost of cooperation is so much cheaper than building and supplying weapons and military support to destroy opposition than utilizing own intellectual, economical and industrial resources to solve some of the most difficult but fundamental problems humanity has been facing since the beginning of time

US want to maintain his hegemonic position in all aspect, such GDP, Technology development, military development, finance etc. When Japan's GDP rose to 75% of US GDP, then it force japanese yuan to devalue, US also suppress japan semiconductor development, likewise it also suppress the France Alstom development, as for Russia, US doesn't allowed their nuclear power bigger than them, since the collapse of Soviet Union, till today it try all means to sanction on Russia, and try to further weaken and make it collapse further. As for China, it is very jealous china as economic power leader for most of the nations, like BRI, BRICKS etc, and find ways and mead to instigate and threaten those participating nations to withdraw. basically, USA it just a trouble maker for the world, just imagine, it is how nice that if the world can have 10 to 15years peaceful time, without wars and conflict, but on US side can they survive and sustain its economy growth without having wars in 5 years periods?
Just imagine, if there are no wars in all nations, what will be the political situations and environment in Europe, US, will US and NATO be able to sustain their military power in the next few years? The US always wants to instigate and create trouble between India and China, the same thing happens to those nations that participate in BRI and BRICKs. In my opinion, the US is the troublemaker for world peace.

I sincerely think western dominance is over for another thousand years.the future begins with Bricks and Africa pushing forward. The West should learn the benefits of diplomacy and genuine friendship. Russia is teaching them how to do it

You are so right and there will be peace. Why so many politicians can’t have the wisdom to do what you see. So sad

It was inevitable! The colonial structure, the West put in place, could not last forever. People will always fight to be free. Africans now realize that they don't need to West, economically. The West needs their resources to survive. I'm just shocked that the EU isn't more stable than it is.

Look at just 3 of the leaders in Brussels. VonDerLeyen, Borrell, and Michal. 10 minutes watching/ listening to them and one would conclude that no way are they capable of running the EU. Bumblers, all 3.

The British and the French provided a lesson that is relevant to Europe's path to the future.

In 1945, all European countries were in shambles and disarray, their economies broken. They still had their colonial empires. But the strength to hold those empires together was destroyed. In Asia, the regular people saw the British and the Dutch defeated and humiliated. The French colonial government was bullied by the Japanese to allow them to occupy Indochina without fighting. The mystique was destroyed.

France refused to accept the reality and refused to give up their empire. They ended fighting two major wars, in Vietnam and Algeria. The British accepted the reality and gave up their empire peacefully. They retained a lot of economic interests in the former colonies and quite a few anglophiles.

And this video fails to mention Africa. Given the history of slave trade and colonialism, a lot of Africans have reason not to like Europeans. What if Africa's share of global GDP goes up significantly?

It is a choice of the West, especially Europe, whether to follow the French or the British path. How long will it take for Europe to fully accept that many other cultures in the world are on par with the West? What would it take for the West to give up its procedural powers in international institutions like the United Nations, so that the global south has a voice proportion to their share of world GDP, or their population?

The great British economist John Mayard Keynes once said: "When the facts and condition change, I change my opinion. What do you do, sir?"

US and EU combined GDP is 46 trillion.
China and Russia combined GDP is 21 trillion.
US and EU military budget is 1.3 trillion.
China and Russia military budget is 310 billion.
It's not even close. The US alone has a higher GDP and military budget than Russia and China. California alone has a GDP double that of Russia with half the population.

That is why Macron stood up and said 'Look! we Europeans need a strong army built and controlled by ourselves'. The Ukraine conflict is the perfect time to achieve this goal. When everyone foresees the decline of US hegemony, and the Biden administration is afraid of a direct conflict with Russia, that, my EU friends, is the right time to build a joint EU army! When you are militarily independent from the US, then you can say NO to Americans. This progress required the sacrifice of the EU soldiers. At some point, you need to confront the Russians directly in order to sit at the negotiation table with the Russians.
If you let the US to negotiate with the Russians, the EU will lose its future, and remain the US puppets forever, and your internal conflicts will all arise and may lead to the worst situation -- the collapse of the EU and even civil wars! By that time, all of your capitalists will fleet out alongside the high-tech industrial bases. So wake up Europeans!
