People waving out of the windows, if only they’d know about what would happen in 8 years time

My Aunt Susan survived this bombing.
She worked for Deloitte on the 97th floor and it took her about 5 hours to get down and out of the building because of the crammed stairwells.

Deloitte had about 1200 employees from the 83rd - 101st floor at the World Trade Center. Had Deloitte not relocated before 9/11, my Aunt would not be here with us. She got to live out her life and just retired 2 years ago and is currently enjoying her new life in Ft. Lauderdale with my Uncle. Survivors were so lucky. May the victims in both tragedies rest in peace.

I was watching the 1998 godzilla movie when the reporter said "worse than the WTC bombings". I thought he predicted 9-11, never knew about this

It’s weird how 1993 and 2001 feel like a lifetime apart to me, but 2016 to 2024 feels like it was just the other day. I guess for some people in 9/11, the ‘93 bombing felt like it was just a few months ago.

Little did they know... this was nothing in comparison to what would happen 8 years later. Crazy to think some people who worked there had to go through both attacks.

The fact that some of the people that are waving from their windows in this attack most likely died on 9/11 just shows how short life is, they had no idea what was coming many years from that day

For those who don't know Ronald Bucca was a Fire Marshal in the FDNY. After this day he kept a set of blueprints in his locker because he knew the terrorist didn't get enough people and they'd come back. On 9/11 Bucca and Battalion Chief Orio Palmer were the only two firemen to reach an impact zone when they got to the 78th floor in the South Tower. Sadly both died when the Tower collapsed around them.
