I can't believe how mad she gets at her mom getting the lead role. Her mom literally didn't even audition, it was her dream since she was a child. Why wouldn't she take the opportunity if it was just handed to her like that? I'd be extremely happy for my mom.

I'm not saying that the mom wasn't strict on her daughter, I personally don't think a parent should be regulating their child's appetite like she was unless it's for medical reasons. But coming from a 19 year old mother of a 3 year old, that raised their son for over a year under their mothers roof, I gotta say there is a lot of things mothers try to do to help their child succeed. And especially when your raising your first kid, you make mistakes in the process. Her mother being overbearing about her appearance and acting was all to try and give her daughter an amazing life. It's not like she was born and her mom decided she was gonna be an actor.
