Shogun is a true masterpiece
I confess I was expecting nothing, since the original TV show was also remarkable, but they took me totally off guard.

Where is Cosmo Jarvis? His was the main character in the show and the whole story revolved around his dealings with the Japanese.

I called it when Shogun 1st came out. If the Lead actor didn't win an award, there is something seriously wrong with the industry.

I think Japanese films are incredibly skilled at giving meaning to silence and soundless scenes. I believe this stems from the culture of “sensing” or subtle perception as they often talk with their “eyes”. I’m glad to see that audiences, accustomed to fast-paced Hollywood action films, are now becoming mature enough to appreciate these moments of silence, which they may have previously dismissed as “slow.”

If only Ubisoft had enough intelligence to be able to learn from this…

I feel Cosmo Jarvis should’ve won best actor tbh. Bro had to learn Japanese too. Insane performance.
