Thank you for sharing! I just installed new links on my 2008 XC70 this spring. Thankfully I got them from FCP Euro.

Thanks for posting! good to know that I should stick to OEM or an OE supplier

IPD needs to address this. I think FPC guarantees their parts so maybe thats the place to go from now on.

That’s a shame! I almost got those myself when my end links needed replacing. Glad I didn’t. thanks for the heads up.

Also my experience with IPD been solid, don’t let this take away from them as a company!

My rears I installed in 2020 are still holding up. I didn't replace my fronts.
Guess I'm going stock Volvo for the front. Thanks for sharing ! Maybe their quality went to shit, because I've put 60k miles on the rear... Will avoid !
Wonder how long their current rears would last.
They've doubled their price since I bought...

I’m not surprised. My Volvo dealer had to unbolt the rear sway bar end links to remove the arm to change the bushing. When they bolted it back, the thread failed a few days after, it almost sent me in a wall on an exit ramp because I had weight in the trunk. Don’t know if they used a power tool and the thread got destroyed this way or the thread was just of a low quality. They replaced it free of charge but I do not know till this day who is at fault. I guess iPd now.
Weirdly, the front end links are in good shape (10k km) and I drive hard.
It is a pity as the rear sway bar is wonderful, and so is the upper torque engine mount. The grease provided for the rear sway bar was shit however, had to grease the PU bushings after six months.

I had the same issue, it lasted 15 months for me. Very sad.

Hey, I saw Polestar cars have an end-link for the rear with part-no 31360098 that fit my S80 fine. If you're interested I can cross-reference and see if the V70 and XC70 end-links are the same, in which case maybe that could be a video to spread the word about this retrofit? Edit: i missed that you had already replaced them, nevermind.

Getting ready to replace the front/rear links on my 2008 XC-70. Any update from IPD? I was hoping to buy online this weekend. Your videos are the best, ☺️ thanks!

I bought aftermarket lower control arms, forgot the brand name. Will never buy non OEM Volvo parts ever again. One side lasted a little over a year (just after the warranty expired) the other one lasted less than 6 months, got it replaced, lasted 2 weeks, went to Volvo and got 2 new ones.

I bought rears based upon your prior video but haven’t installed them yet, so maybe I can still return. What did you replace the IPD with, please let me know, so I can do the same. Thanks.

I had a 1998 V70, added the IPD front end links that failed very soon after installation. Really poor, you're not the only person fooled by IPD. Had OEM installed and they are still on the car.

Have you used the Polestar rear end links for P3?

Mine haven't failed yet but within a year they looked like solid rust. IPD (and ViVa) both sell questionable products.
