I would definitely include window switches for a high failure rate in the P80s. Had to clean or change them in more than one 70 series car. And the ABS controller (solder joint failure)

Lol. Who else here, like myself, had every one of these issues in this video?

How about the cheap plastic dash mounts that break the first time it gets cold?

The Fuel Pump Relay has a bad capacitor that will leave you stranded when it fails.

I've had every issue except the key fob, because I don't have a remote. To this I would add the A/C unit and turbo. Note that both of these are not made by Volvo. Do not replace these with OEM; the aftermarket ones are actually better.

Go OEM on the PCV hoses, anything else will split within a year. Ask me how I know

Can't forget about the oil dipstick seal and oil cap seal!

Front speed sensor reluctor rings corroding losing teeth and triggering the ABS system unnecessarily.

You should also add all the IPD branded parts to the list of frequent failures.

I have an 06' XC70, it has started puking out fibers from the muffler (looks like I ran over a horse lol) I want to get a slightly higher flow muffler replacement but I don't want a group B rally car for a school runner, any recommendations?

I have a 2004 Volvo S60R I just replaced my thermostat/housing I live in Las Vegas (super hot out here) I went on a drive just to see how the car would act( I drove it at night so still hot but less hot then during the day 100•F lol) I let it run for 20 min then took it on a 30min drive once I pulled into my driveway I got the message again say to turn off the car low coolant levels. 🤦🏽‍♂️ maybe it just needed to get the the rest of the air out of the system, but I’m thinking it’s time to replace the timing belt/ water pump. What are your thoughts on it ? Thanks for reading my messages.

Good morning! I had a question about the longevity of valve springs, seals and misfires. I have a 95 volvo glt wagon and I've done everything to clear my computer codes, now it just has a 4th cylinder misfire and i troubleshooted, did a compression lest and a leak down. it's 45 psi/ 4th and I can hear air coming from the cylinder, however I drive it over 1000 miles a month! Works fine!. My question is, could I just swap out my valve springs and seals in that cylinder to remedy the problem? Thanks !!

Does the key fob work for the 93 850? I was told the 93, because of how quirky it is, doesn't have the same kind of fob.

This video should be titled standard maintenance items & then would be applicable to EVERY VEHICLE. Video is a IPD sales ad & a waste of time.
