I love the writing and attention to detail in this scene. I mean at 0:48 it clearly shows that Hector survived his own explosion and reincarnated into a timer

Do you guys not understand this episode was to set up genes (most likely) explosive finale. He’s just starting to regain confidence. He wasn’t going to immediately reveal himself and cause all this chaos the first time he rejects his gene persona. For fans of such a long show that has ton of build up you guys are quite confusing.

Jeff didn't get recasted it's just gene is alot more confident and finds him less menacing

From this episode, it's plain to see how Better Call Saul comes to an end. Gene - _Saul_ - can't stand being away from 'the game' and goes back to Albuquerque to keep scamming.
The big surprise will be in the last episode. TUCO reappears in Omaha. He kills a few guys and then goes to Cinnabon for coffee where he meets Marion (Carol Burnett). He falls in love with her, gets married, and becomes an anger management counselor.

People mad about the recast when they don’t even realize the other actor couldn’t reprise his role because of contract obligations and was working on a series at that time so he couldn’t appear again.

2nd Jeff is how he looks like to Gene when he has the upper hand and is in control

I thought the episode was good but the recast took me out of it a bit tbh. The other jeff was good
