At what point do you admit people are just stupid?

Did she want to help or did she want to double her money? Is that compassion or greed?

Never trust a sleazy person who approaches you at a gas station or on the street with a stranded traveler story
It’s always a scam

It wasn’t a scam, it was greed that made them lose their money. Don’t forget that. If you aren’t a jeweler why on earth wouldn’t you get them looked at first?

I'm pretty sure my 70 year old mother would be able to tell this was a scam from the start. I feel bad for them but I also find it ridiculously funny at the same time.

The money she saved for three years, for her kids education. She pulled out the bank quick as hell for some jewelry.

I’m sorry but how STUPID do you have to do to give money to someone? You can’t blame anyone but YOURSELF .

The same 'Arabian' looking scammers approached me twice here in Spokane showing the same gold jewelry. They were on the news here, and I called them out as scammers. They drove away quite quickly.

Sad story but hopefully a lesson for others. It is great to try to help someone, but if you are not in a financial position so help without putting yourself at risk, don't give money. And if someone offers you something for trade or collateral for money, tell them no. If the stuff they are offering is actually worth something, they can pawn it or sell it for money.

Should have gone to Pawnshop before bank. Then they would have bolted away.

😂🤣😂🤣 they weren't trying to help they thought they scored and were tryingto take advantage. That's what you get when you buy jewelry in a parking lot.

This happened to my husband, it was a couple pulled over on the side of the road asking for money for gas. My husband offered to get them gas several times yet they refused it. They offered him jewelry in which he declined over and over again. They demanded money vs what they said they needed.

It sounded more like the lady "victim" was more looking for gains. Most people wouldn't go through all that trouble of traveling to different atms just to help total strangers out. Gullible and opportunist.

What’s crazy is that the buyer “lender” seems to have bad intentions too when they feel they got a good deal

Sounds to me like the people being interviewed were trying to make money too. Also why would you give all that money if it’s all you have?

Shit after all that, you might as well put all of them chains and rings on at once, and wear them every day. I’ll be walking around my neighborhood looking like an Egyptian god. 😂
