I like the Cerave hydrating cleanser in the cold winter for my dry skin. Can't use any foaming cleanser in the cold winter in Canada, too drying. In the summer, I use Cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser, or the new Cerave foaming oil cleanser, very good. The thing is Cerave is so easy to get from everywhere in North America, so it is easy to buy and with affordable price.

There are a lot of La Roche Posay parallels to CeraVe cleansers and basic moisturizers. Personally, I prefer the LRP cleansers and body moisturizers for sure. I mean, I like basics, but CeraVe can be a little too basic with some user experience quirks like being a little too plasticky or runny. I like the user experience of LRP Lipikar Wash AP+ Moisturizing Body & Face Wash better than the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and the LRP Gentle Hydrating Cleanser.

I prefer the Cerave Ultra light moisturizing gel - absorbs pretty quickly, i think it will sit better on hydrated skin than the cream. Also, the cap is FLAT so it stands up (this came out later, so it seems they improved the packaging). I like to apply it at night after my retinoid cream to prevent flaking/irritation. FYI I have very oily skin and live in a humid climate and it is perfect - if i were to use the regular cream i wake up like a greaseball. Btw ❤ your channel and content bc you present products that work for oilier, large pore skin types (instead of dry and sensitive which all the other skin content creators seems to have). Keep it coming!

I HATE Cerave cleansers. The feeling of them on my hands made my skin crawl. I've used them at my friends' houses and thought they were the worst.

I can't deal with Cerve lotion it made me itch and never absorbed which is weird because my skin usually eats up lotion. I prefer Cetaphil, Eucerin, necessaire, and LRP.

I think the reason why the CeraVe didn’t layer is because from what I’ve noticed brands in the West aren’t necessarily formulated for layering. I’ve bought serums before that are as thick as a regular moisturizer. In the morning when I use the Lancôme Genefique most of the time I skip moisturizer afterward because it’s thick and hydrating enough that I wait for a couple minutes then carry on with sunscreen.
