I just got my Teaching Credential after a year of student teaching. So fantastically thankful for a full time teaching career right away! Imposter syndrome is a thing.
I am on day 3 at my new position as the only Art Teacher at a lovely small town high school in Northern California. This is the Teacher In Service week, and I feel overwhelmed by both the love/acceptance from my colleagues and this realization that it is all so much more complex to be part of a school staff than just facilitating Art lessons. Yesterday was the staff meeting where they went over school statistics and universal procedures. There is so much to remember. Oh, and I have a total of 200 students in my charge, 6 periods with 1 prep. That’s a LOT of relationships! (Good thing I have 5 heavenly bodies in Libra/11th house, cause I will be needing those scales of justice for sure!
I needed this pep talk today, so I am glad I listened to the very end.

He’s already showed me who he is. A narc or cluster B issue with not being emotionally available. I don’t want to be anyone’s momma. I’m fed up with toxic. I’ve been healing 5 years from the first one. Met another but different type, figured that out too. I’m open to love but just not toxic love/hate crud. He hasn’t changed in a year.
