Hey Number Ninjas, are you feeling confused with this integral? I'll provide you a simple and understandable integration trick using trigonometric substitution so that you can crush Calculus 2 problems like these on your next ap calc exam!

We'll uncover why the traditional u substitution by polynomial substitution doesn't work and how we can instead substitute in trig functions instead using trig identities. We'll use a method I like to use by going over it step-by-step as I found that it makes solving these problems a cinch, instead of having to memorize some magic integral formula.

Let x=2Sinz
dx = 2coszdz
Int 2coszdz/ 2cosz
Int dz
z+c
arcsin(x/2)+ c

This could be simply solved by using inverse trig identity of arc it basically did not require so much of solving good explanation though.❤
