I remember looking at this video back when it first came out and never thought I would actually own one of these cars. Thank god for mass production and depreciation!

"service airbag" message displayed on a brand new car. Glad to see Chrysler keeping up on quality control!

I'm not even a muscle car person and I think Dodge hit the nail on the head here. No pretense of being a track car that can beat a 911 around Nurburgring. Just raw, tire shredding horsepower, a big boot, the nicest interior in its class and an automatic transmission option. Perfect.

lel at all this hate. 700 usableish horses, rear drive, stick shift or fantastic auto. all for 60k. that's a hell of a package, i don't know what more you fuckers want

707hp, $60K, buy it is the only possible answer. Unfortunately no one will be able to buy it for anywhere close to $60K. Should be some pretty scary markups on these.

Passes everything but a gas station. Love it.

I don't care what brand you subscribe to, but Chrysler is putting 707 horsepower on the road, and that has to be applauded. Wow.

Just bought the 2014 100th Anniversary Edition Challenger V6. Almost identical interior minus the HUD and speedometer being slightly different. These cars are worth every penny. As a not rich normal american coming out of college. Let me tell you I test drove every muscle car I could find in my area and this one was the only thing I fell in love with. The Mustangs are great, but their interior's generally look cheesy until you get to something over 40k. The cameros just aren't what they advertise as unless you go for a high end one. The hemi's are great, but lets face it in the real world unless you take it to the track, even on I-81 you are limited in speed by the number of cars in front of you. They literally eat gas too. The v6 still gets over 300hp and I average 30mpg on the high way. So it doesn't break the bank day to day. All in all I would recommend every version of the Challenger 2014 model year =>.

I could be wrong, but I feel this Hellcat and Roman's long term Hellcat has been his favorite car by a mile. He has never not been happy or giddy when driving or even just talking about the Hellcat.

the challenger;
the only one of the "big three" that's relatively usable as a DD. the trunk is huge, the interior is spacious, the back seat has tons of room, the rear seats fold, its a very comfortable

Man, I can't wait t get my foot into this one. The cool factor definitely goes to the Challenger.

Owning a Hellcat would be badass but $60K is pricey plus insurance and other things. Still an amazing car across all trim levels.

It feels like it should have wider rear tires. They look skinny for all that power.

The Dodge boys have outdone themselves this time.  Very nice!

OK, lets do the math and go down memory lane. I was 18 in 1977 and most muscle cars of that era were 10 years old and that is all we had to buy in high school. My first car was a black on black 1967 Camaro bought for 1000$ . My second car in high school was a 68' SS Camaro with a stock 427, Hurst four speed and hidden headlights for the ungodly sum of 1200$ That was the average price of a used muscle car. I had my choice of Novas, malibus, mustangs, challengers, chargers, Firebirds, Camaro, or even a Corvette-1966-71 if I had the money. The 1978 Anniversy vette at the local GM dealer fully loaded was $ 11, 000. Fully loaded= (Total piece of CRAP by the way). My dream car, I let get away was a high school senior who was selling his black on black, all stock Chevy 1969 Camaro Z28 for the UNGODLY sum of 2500$ Which was a lot of money in those days. The Hellcat is 60 Grand? I am sure for that money I can make ANY car make that kinda horsepower. The only cars I did not see in high school, were the Hemi powered muscle cars. I saw a Mud Racer Jeep owned and parked in a local gas station, with a 427 Hemi, Dual quad tunnel ram and it was a HUGE engine with CHrome valve covers. Never heard it run though. Pity. Hemi's were very Rare even in 1979. My friend had a 1970 AR Cuda with a 318? six pack that could lift the front  end off the ground in two gears. Great car. In that time, a pristine Hemi car or perfect 66 vette would run you about 10 grand. OH, those were the days. I wish I would have kept my cars, but hindsite is always 20/20. 60, 000$ is ridiculous for any muscle car, except a Hemi Cuda or 1972 Ford Pantera (saw a few in the day) or Ford AC cobra with the 427 side oiler- Only saw one back in the day, blue with white stripes. Thanks for listening to this old man talk about my Glory day, RH DSD

the challenger is my favourite muscle car ever, i like it way more than both the mustang and camaro and right now it's the horsepower king, but i hope the new mustang and camaro come out with more hp. this could be the start of the craziest horsepower war ever! cant wait to see where it goes

I remember back in the late 60s to early 70s, and Plymouth had what a lot of people "BIG" big block! Larger than GM and Ford. They dominated the speed market for the dragway. They did however had two major problems back then. 1 was that they had weak rear ends that gave the speed freak endless problems. 2. The bodies would rust bad. Most often in the front fender area. They changed all of that. won back dominance in both drag racing test and, handling on the test track!! The engineers did an enormous amount of work on design of such an incredible car.
