Nintendo Switch: How to Change Button Mapping

How to change button mapping layout (including joysticks) for Nintendo Switch joycons or Pro controller for any game.

The bottom options still shows the old mapping, any way to fix that ?

my only issue with remapping is like if A is to select and you remap to like B to select, the bottom still shows A is to select! It shouldve changed in the system too

If you flip the ABXY to be like consoles, make sure if you change A to B that you also change B to A and vice versa.

I get annoyed everytime I turn off my console that notification shows up! That notification that says I’ve changed the mapping would I like to reset. How do I turn it off its so irritating

Thanks this really helped I have a Nintendo switch lite so I needed the crouch button but the Nintendo switch light doesn't have the crouch button so I switched the screenshot button so I can crouch thank you

I wish I can do the same thing with my GameCube controller but I can’t because it says I cannot map the buttons when the pro controller was connected to the usb. Which is ridiculous because I’m using the GameCube controller adapter, not the pro controller

Can I change all the buttons settings on the NES controllers and make them work for Mario kart and smash bros?

For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I remap B for A and Y for B (also A for X and X for Y)
