I am glad they kept the lizard pattern. I am a huge fan of lizard pattern especially French TAP 47/56.

Siamidis SA (pronounced more like Sea-ah-me-des) is a top manufacturer that has won contracts with EU NATO military organizations and civil protection agencies. This gives a hint about the high quality of the new SOF uniforms of the Hellenic armed forces. The change of the colors to a more transitional palette is an upgrade, since current issue of Greek lizard camouflage was getting too dark to be effective in some environments. There are plans of adopting this pattern in a simplified cut uniform for the majority of the armed forces.

Very good! Old one was to green for some parts of Greece and months from October to April. Lots of love to Greek brothers.

Im glad theyve decided to adopt the multicam colorscheme while avoiding the pattern. Although multicam is objectively the better camouflage, ukraine has proven that PID (positive identification) is more important than a more effective pattern

Bravo, to the Hellenic Defense Forces for making a very insightfully smart decision!

Years ago, having personally been a part of the development of the tactical Combat Uniforms of the Estonian Defense Forces, we discovered the enhancing attributes of placing Large Vertical Zipper upper chest pockets on tactical Combat Uniforms. So based upon my research and experiences, I think it was very innovative, smart for the Greek Hellenic Defense Forces to retain their national identity with keeping the Greek Lizard pattern camouflage coupled with Large Vertical Zipper upper chest pockets. Such Large Vertical Zipper upper chest pockets are far more useful to the soldiers rather than the limited typical square pockets.

The German, Canadian. USA and other military establishments could also learn to adopt Large Vertical Zipper upper chest pockets on their tactical combat uniforms. By doing so, such would enhance the soldiers abilities to be more effective to perform their duties to be able to carry more magazines, gear etc. Were the shirt or jacket or coat with Large sized Vertical Zipper upper chest pockets becomes a defacto dual purpose Tactical Vest option.

Such is very important for mission success of the individual military operator in and on the fluid ever changing battle field situations!

I had opportunity to visit Rhodes and Symi islands last summer and to go on some hiking. I was wearing my coyote brown pants and t shirts and I was surprised to see how that colour didn’t blend into surrounding. Greek guys in khaki pants and shirts were almost invisible… except moments when we come near some Mediterranean vegetation. I think this version of the Greek lizard will work great on the Greek islands.

The OG Greek Lizard pattern looks just fine though. I've seen photos of Greek training and this camo just blend well in Greece arid environment.

Love the way it looks and hope I can eventually acquire a set down the road. Makes me curious though, how Pentacamo and/or Grassman Camo by Pentagon fared (if tested against this). Love those patterns (along with All Terrain Tiger Stripe)!

The Greek army should also adopt combat vests in this pattern. It would be a great opportunity as it’s 2024 and Greece still doesn’t have a standard issue plate carrier.
