🇬🇧When we want to say where we are going, driving or flying, we have 3 prepositions to choose from:

in, to, to

"In" we use for enclosed or confined spaces:
"I am going to the room/the park."
We also use "in" with countries that have articles:
"I am flying to Switzerland."

"To" we use for cities and countries without articles:
"I'm going to Berlin/Spain".
(Fixed term: I'm going home).

"To" we use for persons and institutes:
"I'm going to the doctor/school." - Here we can also say:" to school", because the school is also a closed room.
