removing the characters' plot armor in a way that is well explained and then killing both of them after a build up in the song that made you feel like you'd win and NOT going back on it is a bold move that i appreciate

So seeing people who decided to watch this before actually trying the song won't realise its how devistating the ending really is. You feel so invested, with the rollercoaster of emotions; starting by riding the confidence of your last songs, boosted with determination from the mini cutscene prior, to suddenly seeing gf dragged away, only to feel epic again, defeating all of M's minions in a 3V1, to shock and horror of seeing GF again, and with the vocals dragging your morale lower, until you hear the beat drop and the word "FIGHT", bringing an adrenaline rush to avenge her. The monologue makes you feel like this must be your true "last stand", before adrenaline rushes through you as you give it your all, knowing you've beaten all the songs before... WHY DON'T YOU DO IT AGAIN!

...but you don't... you die... you... lost...

I genuinely sat and just stared at my computer for a solid few seconds after the song ended, it was so good, thank you so much M'sM team!

Am I the only one who actually likes the ending? It feels like an actual ending made for a creepypasta/creepy rom hack. Fits perfectly with this mod, and that final image with BF and GF mauled and mutilated, while a scared Pico stands in the middle further emphasizes this. It's like a nice spin on something like the "The End" screen from I Hate You or something. I like it.

What I like a lot about this song is the feature of Luigi, Wario and Yoshi. Seeing the SM64DS trio I grew up with just makes me smile.

In case you are wondering why bf and gf died in this song despite surviving other deaths: they only had 3 lives
Both lost their first at the end of dictator when Mario blew them up
Gf lost her second life in power down
Bf lost his second life at the end of last course (tho many people forget this or don’t notice it), shown by turmoil attacking at the very end of the song where you can’t dodge

What I think works about this ending is how well written M is versus Sonic.Exe. Sonic.Exe has basically has no motive. He kills and tortures over and over for the f*ck of it but because GF has her contract powers, he has to seperate them to win. In this world, BF made bad choices to end up here. Choosing to leave midway through his match with M instead of going with the deal. Not going through the red static after Promotion. Staying and fighting instead of just leaving. But what makes it better is that in the end, BF kind of wins.

Throughout ALL of All-Stars, M DESPERATELY tries to convince him to give up. He doesn't get why BF wont stop fighting. And ultimately, when he plays his final card, dangling his eviscerated, dead, puppeted f*cking Girlfriend, and tries coyly to convince BF to give up... he doesnt. He would've kept fighting. And M realized that. He knew that the longer he let BF continue, he could potentially find another Starman. Or a Warp Pipe. Or Pico could show up. Its why the song, long as it is, ends so abruptly. He's, in a way, 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩. So he kills him. And when you realixe through Game Over dialogue options that he could've done this a 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙤, then the ending song suddenly makes a lot of sense. He wanted to torture BF, but more importantly, he wanted to break him, like many of the other creatures in this world. But he couldn't without risking losing both of them. That's why he feels hollow at the end. He's finally gotten his revenge, but it was just another murder. Sure, the Dearests will come looking, so will Pico's friends, maybe even Skid and Pump on complete chance. But it won't matter. Eventually someone will either stop him by turning off and destroying the console, or just abadon the building entirely. He has nothing left.

Or you know, the end credits tease that this was all like a movie like production for our entertainment, which is honestly way funnier in my opinion, given the stakes. Either way, and amazing mod. One of the best FNF mods since Wednesday's Infidelity. I'm glad the devs are finally done, and while i wouldn't mind seeing more of their work, I also think they all deserve the holidays off. Or like, maybe a year off in reality lol.

Do you wanna know what I find funny?
This isn't the longest song in the mod. Despite being the climactic, nearly 9 minute showdown against the mod's true antagonist, it is beaten out in length by(thanks to the warp zones making all other songs previously exclusive to freeplay part of the main story) the only song in the mod to now be considered a Brutal Bonus Level, Unbeatable, which clocks in at *10 whole minutes* and is about a creepy NES commercial from the 80s that some of you probably didn't even know existed before this.
This is not me complain btw, if anything it's a compliment!

A wonderful and epic finale for thr most anticipated mod on the whole FnF story. It was a long ride guys (this reminds me when vs Sonic.exe 2.0 camed out. It were much easier times) i've enjoyed it and all of you probably too and to be honest i didn't know the day the community would resurrect once again for this.

This is a great finale song overall, but Act 3 is my favourite part of the song by far. The drastic tonal shift in both the art and instrumentals, coupled with the haunting visual of Ultra M and his ghostly choir in the background, makes for a heavy contrast with the first two acts. Aside from GF's corpse dangling on puppet strings in front of you, it's the first thing that really clues you in that this won't end like any other average FNF song.
And the vocals really make this - not just the lyrics sung by Ultra M and his choir, but the way BF and GF's chromatics are changed too. GF sounds much more raspy and lower-pitched, as if Ultra M is literally pulling her vocal cords to force her to sing. Meanwhile, the vibrato added to BF's voice is a subtle change that adds a whole lot - especially when coupled with his animations, it sounds like he's holding back tears while he sings.

Come to think of it, this mod does a great job of making BF feel more characterful in general, both in his vocals and his animations.
