Might well be Climate Change, but flooding does also happen more often because of government policy of building on Flood Plains.

All this was caused by a mix of blocking drains, low lying landscape, and insufficient drainage by the environmental agency who have repeatedly cut funding than protect housing they knew would be an issues when they were built, the poor families that can’t get cover because there houses are on low land it’s not there fault and must be covered by insurance. The labour government gave 11 billion abroad for flood protection, what about us labour how can you justify that when so many people and sea defences need help now

Money is NOT being "given to the unions!" Its being given to working people who's wages have fallen by levels not seen since the napoleon wars! Unions REPRESENT workers, they are DEMOCRATIC, and its Unions that have changed workers lives for the better, with working age limits, health and safty policies, paid holidays, sick pay, employment rights, maternity leave etc... without Unions we'd be still making children go up chimneys and working 100 hour weeks, so stop with the attempts to demonise the only real power workers can access!

Big problem is with all the cut backs over the years one of them was drains use to be cleared regularly these days depending on where you live in my area drains not been cleared in the last two years.
