it's not based on racism. its classism. they treat poor people any way they want and if they try to take it to court they get a "public defender" who does nothing. I never even met mine I talked to him once on the phone for about 3 minutes he never even showed up to court any of the 3 times I went. I was arrested for someone else using my vehicle in a theft that I had no part in or even knew about.
I was at work on the clock and could prove it but it didn't matter. the guy that actualy committed the crime even told them I had no idea what he was doing. he was on camera the car was on camera there was no question who committed the crime yet I still got 11/29 probation and a 3 month suspended sentence. that's how our justice system works.
