Looking to compare the performance of the two fastest cars in Formula One history, our latest video features a 3D CGI-generated lap time comparison between Max Verstappen's 2023 RB19 and Lewis Hamilton's 2020 W11. Both laps are recorded at the Bahrain Grand Prix, allowing us to find out who has the faster car once we analyze both laps.

Our 3D analysis shows us in detail how these cars perform in different conditions, including acceleration, braking, and cornering. With this information, we aim to answer the question: which car is the fastest in F1 history, the Mercedes W11 from 2020 or the Red Bull RB19 from 2023?

Don't miss out on this exciting video as we explore the nuances of these two incredible machines, breaking down their performance in a way that has never been seen before. Join us as we examine the data to reveal who comes out on top in this ultimate car comparison.

Bro the fact that merc were able to give the w11 so much down force and grip without losing out of straight line speed is insane

Lewis ain’t kidding that the RB19 is the fastest car he’s ever seen.

From the outside

Can only imagine how frustrated Hamilton must be nowadays knowing what he had. Such a brutal difference

That turn 4 difference in racing line 😂

I wish Mercedes did what Porsche did with the 919, and removed all limitations of the W11 just for fun.
Just how insanely fast would the W11 be if the fuel flow, Rev, and electric discharge limitations were removed, alongside with a lower ride height and unrestricted usage of DRS.
My personal guess, based on nothing but feeling, is that it would be at the very least 3 seconds of difference in most tracks, and in longer tracks, like Spa, 4-5 seconds.

The W11 was a downforce monster- Hamilton going flat out at Pouhon still gives me goosebumps. Has to be the greatest F1 car in history!!!

No doubt W11 is the Greatest car Of All time in Formula 1.

I wonder how long if ever, it will take to catch back up to 2020s pace.

Different gen and spec. Obviously today’s cars are slower than 2020’s, but still an interesting comparison!

Amazing. Can you do two runs that can show the difference between 1st and 2nd for the two years?

That Red Bull is a missile in a straight line, not losing any time there against the W11

Cool to see, but I'd love to see a relative speed comparison between the RB19 vs the rest of the field & W11 vs the rest of the field. Since the previous era of cars was faster over a single lap and in general I believe, but these cars are better in terms of following & racing.

All the speed gain came in the corners, james allison masterpiece

In my opinion, it would be better if you included 2nd places(or runner-up who is not a teammate). That way, we could account for other factors as well.

To really tell which one was faster, as they are from totally different eras, you would have to do that for all the tracks shared between 2020 and 2023 calendars. That would be really interesting data

@Formula Addict I wonder what software you use to present this? Blender with twin motion? Also where do you get data to know the exact racing line and speed for the drivers, it requires some work to make all these videos to happen so its interesting to see the comparison this way.
