The fact this video does not include the Blizzard of 1949, 1977 and the Blizzard of 1978, clearly indicates those behind this video have zero validity regarding this subject matter!!!

I survived blizzards of 1993, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2010 and 2011, loved it, but I missed the 2016 blizzard.

1975 in Minnesota was a hum dinger I’ll tell ya! Only got about 2’ of snow but she blew 65-70mph for 3 days! We had 15’+ roller drifts all over…it was a blast!

If you ever get a blizzard in your city/town, either don't drive or SLOW DOWN. just watch a few videos on crashes, speed made it worse

“The Storm of the century “ was the name given originally to the blizzard of 1949 thst paralized Idaho Wyoming North Dakota and most of Nebraska continuaously blizzarding for 9.5 weeks straight . 30 foot tall snow drifts miles long covered Wyoming trapping highways of cars in white out conditions for months. The president declared a national emergency to relieve the stranded. And spent an insane $190M uS in 1949 organizing a rescue operations using all Murray forces, reserves, national guard and contracts plus equipment needed. With constant 80mph winds and 20-49 degrees below zero nonstop with zero visibility most attempts were constantly delayed and rescue convoys disappearing only to be found months later in snow drifts. A 39 foot tall drift accross a Highway could have a path cleared. Ajd would seal back up within hours strajdintbendlessbcounts of rescue parties. Endless accounts of a spouse going outside to shovel or feed the cows etc and never returning sometimes found very close tint the home sometimes far away getting instantly disoriented in the zero visibility ajdbwalkinynnthebwrontnangle home . There’s a documentary on YouTube on it called storm of the century BUT it’s PBS and the numbers of deaths they quote is SO far off it’s disgusting but a simple Google will lead u to accounts of people there and an article that states from the Us governent a number of deaths of military as 5 !!!???? And citizens The first military rescue convoy to disappear had 29 alone and this happened at least a number of times. But then said that the numbers of souls missing or unaccounted for could not be included in the deaths or even listed at likely deceased missing for over 2 months I think in 30 minutes of goodie ok couldnted roughy 119 people mentioned in little accounts. So don’t put an ounce into buying thst number . lol tragic thi

I can only Imagine what people in 1888 thought of the blizzard, some probably thought it was the wrath of god or something

Why does everyone seem to use two standards? How much money it cost and how many sticks of dynamite the incident totaled. "The building was destroyed by an explosion equal in force of about 200 sticks of dynamite." Personally, I don't know what two sticks of dynamite looks like when they blow, much less than a whole bunch more. You tell me damages are in the billions. So, I don't know what $500, 000 looks like how can I relate to billions. Big number, but how much bigger than say one billion? Heck if I know. Why can't they just say, dozens of properties were destroyed? The news media loves drama, that's why.

Why isn't snowvember of 2014 on this list. In November of 2014 just south of Buffalo New York an area referred to as the southtowns we're pummeled with anywhere from 60 to 88 in of snow in 36 hours that's 5 to 7 feet in just over a day. My neighborhood had 82 in of snow in 36 hours, countless roof's collapse because it was wet and heavy. As I write this we're getting hit right now. Christmas morning we woke up there is only 9 inch on the ground as of this morning today the 26th there's now 36 inches and it's still snowing as i type. Massive amounts of snow in Western New York is nothing new, people wake up in the morning remove 3 foot of snow behind their car and just go to work 😁. However the 7-foot snowstorm did shut us down for 3 days😬.
