Super late to this but I am trying to make a Lore Friendly backstory for an Ancient Nord, displaced in time, so I wanted to research the gods of the ancient nords in depth. Great video for someone still learning their Elder Scrolls lore after only a year of being in the fandom!

Also, Storyteller’s fast walk when he saw the draugr was rather funny to see, lol. Especially woth the look it gave him.

is this story teller cross paths with the dragonborn? that would be really cool...

Also, a topic request if you don't already have it in the works: Could you guys do a video on Dragon Breaks at some point? Maybe you could have the characters visit the Throat of the World, which can lead to a conversation about Alduin being sent forward in time by an Elder Scroll and from there progress into discussing the Warp in the West and even the long Middle Dawn of the First Era.

If you are confused with Shor, Alduin -, Akatosh, Lorkhan, and Shezar, just remember that the whole Elder Scrolls universe is all about duality.

Before everything, there was the Godhead. From the sleeping Godhead came Anu of stagnancy andorder, and Padomay of chaos and change. These 2 forces naturally clashed with one another, fragments from that fight creating the et'Ada, the ancestral spirits. Anu's aspect/son/soul is Anui-el, from which the concept of space and direction sprung forth. Padomay's aspect/son/soul is Sithis, from which the concept of the END of space(void) came from.

Now from Anui-el came Auri-el. You know him better as Akatosh, god of time. From Sithis came Lorkhan. Et'Ada aligned with Aka were Aedra, the rest were called Daedra. Lorkhan then pretended to be one of the et'Ada and told Akatosh and co this:
*"Hey guys, you know what would be cool? If we created and entire WORLD for us to chill in!"*
Akatosh and co. thought this was a cool idea and helped in creating Mundus, that part in the blank Aetherius that would house Nirn, the world. Magnus, like that staff, was the architect. But when the whole project was finished, a betrayal was found. Mundus leached the power of the et'Ada to keep it stable. Magnus panicked, turned 360, and moonwalked his way out of Mundus, tearing a massive hole in it called the Sun. The Magna-ge, his followers, followed suit and tore holes called the stars. Lorkhan was torn in two for his trick, his body becoming Masser and Secunda, the moons. His heart was then flung out, landing in a sea which erupted and formed the Red Mountain of Morrowind.

Akatosh then grounded himself in Mundus and created a stable point of non-time so some of his Aedra friends wont die from Mundus. This point is called the "Wheel of Convention". The Aedra there became the Divines. The ones outside became mortal cus of Mundus and became the mer. They were pissed that they were now mortal. Those aligned with Lorkhan are chill with this and became men. Or men were created by some et'Ada and Lorkhan, tis not sure really.

Now remember the Wheel of Convention? Its called that because at a certain point in time, an aspect of Akatosh called Alduin will pop out, eat the world, merge back with Aka and reset time. That is Alduin, and that is why you dont gain dragon souls when you kill him.

How about Lorkhan? Well his spirit wanders on, usually manifesting as an important mortal called the Shezzarine. Wulfharth, ancient king of the nords is one. Ysgrammor is certainly another. Tiber Septim/Talos as one. Short version, that is one of the reasons why Talos became a god.

Then there's CHIM, dreaming/awake/alive, the Daedra, the apparently time-reset resistant Hist and their Argonian slaves/friends, the Dwemer and Numidium, dragon-breaks and all that goodshit that makes Elder Scrolls Lore so damn complicated.

It's stuff like this that makes me love the Elder Scrolls series all the more... Just this feeling that the world you're adventuring in has been lived in. Fully fleshed-out lore like this is what makes immersing yourself in the game worthwhile.
