What a nice surprise. It is great when bees come knocking on your door and have selected you to be their keeper. Ka Ching!
Great idea about introducing the deep super and the queen excluder. Thanks for the tip.

It looks nice to have that warm weather! I am longing for now to get things going. Nights in about 20f days about 50f. Now I wanna have real spring!
Nice swarm! As you do with the queen excluder, I have used that metod too when it comes to change the bees between different types of hives. Effective.
Lot's of love from Sweden!

I'm so excited! I just got my first Bees yesterday. One Nuc. I go out There every couple hours just to see the beautiful bees flying around. Love your videos I've learned so much. Thank you from North Carolina

Great video buddy thanks for sharing I caught a swarm here last Tuesday in my cooler swarm trap. I have caught 2 swarms so far this year here in West Virginia.

I tried all mediums for a while but switched to deeps for two reasons:
- Inspections take longer you have 30 frames instead of 20.
- Costs more time and money to make equipment, need 150% more equipment.

I like your plan of how what you are going to do with this swarm!

Kamon, Those old box stacks work great for swarm traps lol. We found 2 BEE trees in the trees around farm yesterday in old OAK trees. Had the crew set up a couple traps within reason to them. A week from sunday we get to make more splits and set cells in them latter that day and the fun part i get to find out how many of the 28 nukes came back with mated Queens. Take care and best of luck. I agree a little brood in honey frame wont hurt. As a fact after i pull final splits i will set up the second deep again let Queen lay in it for a week then shake them back into bottom box and let it become a honey box as always. Have to say it has been nice having a crew of 12 to mentor this year. No lifting for me but the new trucks came in so the EZ LAODER has and will make it ez. Hope IAN dont mind but have some Amish Ladies making the cloth covers for latter honey pull this year. kind of took it off his idea. Sorry IAN Sir. I have not had any swarm on me and doubt i will with spliting them 2 times in 4 weeks lol. Wont get much honey this year because will be trying to get them to build comb as much as they will so have it for next year when we double if not triple in hives

Pretty good! Sure beats climbing 20 feet up a tree!
