So, let's get the facts.... you didn't go and see your family straight away, you pissed about and got a tv crew involved instead. Shame on you. I served 22 years in army, didn't get some piss easy deployments, I got Iraq during desert storm (2 tours), Afghanistan (3 tours) and a few other shit holes. I didn't mess about trying to get praise or publicity, I went straight to the barracks, then home, then to school to get our we didn't tell them I was coming home in case they got too excited.
Thankfully I retired in one piece, not like a couple of my mates, they got sent back and they are the ones that deserve a tv crew and public praise
