I always say pray for all the service man and pray that they stay safe when their away from their family's so they can come home safe to their family's. So again glad your home safe and sound. .Goodbye and have lots of good days and lots of fun with family.

i served japan italy washington state and asked for leave after seeing our sons since august 6 99, i was denied leave by usn, denied by family 20 plus years

I remember when soldiers were NOT welcomed. My husband served 30 years and he remembers when this crap happened. I always supported my husband but some didn't have that support. Now it's different. They are welcomed. This only took place in the 2000s till now.

Twenty four years is some commitment to his country, there’s a lot to be proud of. A very small observation here in the UK we call our Catholic schools after saints, in Lancashire we used to call them after the local martyrs like St. Edmund Arrowsmith, St John Rigby etc.

I had to leave my 10 month old son when I was deployed to Vietnam; when I came home he didn't recognize me and wouldn't come to me. That hurt more than facing hostile fire... to this day.
