Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received a standing ovation from US lawmakers before addressing a joint session of Congress in Washington on Wednesday. The applause for Zelensky -- who is on his first trip outside Ukraine since Russia invaded in February -- lasted for more than two minutes. Ukrainian President vowed his country would never surrender to Russia as he addressed US Congress on Wednesday night.

As a soldier who served in Ukraine training their army before the latest war, I am always particularly moved when Zelensky speaks in english. I hope his country prevails and it is heartening to see that at least one country I served in has a military that will stand and fight for their land.

ngl I kind of love the grace that Nancy Pelosi carries herself with, she's like the grandmother who's full of love and energy even at that age. Great human, the laymans and people who don't follow politics wouldn't even begin to understand the career and legacy she's had. It's very impressive and honorable.
