I bought a 3d printer a few months back but was worried about the fumes. This helps a lot! Thank you!

You are missing out the cheap diy solution (printing a filterholder with big fan mounted that sucks air through the active carbon mats)

My husband and I were concerned about fumes and air quality in our small mobile home. Thank you for putting this video together. It was very informative :)

If the Air320 is a bit too costly, Bissell offers the Air220 that uses the same filtration system for $100 less ($220-240)
The main difference is the Air220 cleans a slightly smaller room size due to it being a bit smaller. The front pre filter is also different in that it's perforated hard plastic vs a mesh on the Air320. So the Air 220 might be a bit easier to clean but have a slightly worse prefiltering

Use actual enclosure for fumes with ventilation pipes, you do not have to put the end of ventilation pipes to outside you can attach a massive filter on it, it will filter everything the downside is that this filter piece is expensive and heavy.

A loooot of 3d printing folk are being waaaay too unsafe with their health man. Everyone should have a box fan with some carbon filters strapped to it in addition to a respirator mask *bare minimum* but they're out there just *getting used to the smell*. Like that'll save 'em from cancer!

Great video, I love resin printing but the smell is troubling. I’m going to replicate your setup thanks for the information!

Thanks for a great, comprehensive, and quick video about these ventilation methods.

Thanks for the heads up on the Bissell and larger Elegoo filters. As a fellow resident in the south the humidity for filament (and myself, lol) meant i really want venting outside to be the last option.

Thanks for info didn’t know these type of filters existed.

Great video, very informative as I'm just getting started with resin printing!

How often do you swap your carbon filters?

How often are you changing the filter on the airmax unit? Carbon is only effective for so long. So I'm curious if it's more frequent

I don't think the air filters actually remove the gases from the air. They just remove the smell. You need a ventilated space no matter if it smells bad or not

I won one... but now unsure and may sell. Option is my small office or an attic with no windows

Would one of the anycubic filters be enough for an anycubic mono x or do I need two for it? It's winter in Canada at the moment and my printer is in my office (haven't been able to run a print for a couple of months).

It’s odd that everybody keeps saying “activated carbon isn’t good enough” yet elegoo literally made a huge filter to suck the air out of your printer enclosure, and it got an award for cleaning the air out… and it’s just a bigger activated carbon filter.

Thanks for info 🙂

I think the tech for resin is impressive but its still young & resin is still a no for me until a safe non chemical safe resin can be delevoped. i dont have a big space & have aquatic setup's so absolutely cannot risk any chemical fumes getting in contaiminating their water or worse my health

If I used the first 2 options would I not need to ventalate my box with a big tube to outside?

Question. New to 3D printing. Got a Saturn 8k for Christmas. I was thinking of using a large closet in my basement for a small station. It has a door. Would the charcoal filter that comes with the printer along with the bissel be enough to eradicate harmful fumes and the smell?
