In case anyone is curious, winning $28 million in 1999 would be the equivalent of winning $46.6 million in 2022.

Thanks very much for hosting me, @Jubilee! Those were some excellent questions; that was fun. 🙂

I’ve won £250k on a lottery scratch card, it was definitely life changing money as I paid my mortgage off and went part time but it was so difficult keeping it to myself.

Soon after I went part time, people kept on asking me why and how I paid my mortgage and eventually i think people realised and they tried to blackmail me into giving them money. Thankfully I cut off all contact with them!

As soon as he said he worked minimum wage at a petrol station I was immediately happy for him lol.

I’m happy to see that he is doing well after winning the lottery. A lot of people end up worse than before.

The fact that his first inclination was to buy an N64, and not to go wild spending money, set him up for success after winning the lottery. Am very happy for him that he had the financial clarity to make that money last him a lifetime so that he could pursue his dreams, as many people who win the lottery end up in a worse spot after due to financial irresponsibility and increased personal risk that comes with having won.

I would ask so many different questions than what they asked. Did he have to educate himself on finances? Or did he hire a financial advisor? Did he move away? What did he do in the first year that he received the lottery $? Is he still close to his family? Did his notoriety eventually go away or are people still bothering him for money?

what's crazy is that he had such a believable dream he thought it was a clear enough message that he HAD to start playing lottery and he actually won

I could never show my face if I ever won the lottery, that sounds so dangerous

This is insane that US law forces winner to reveal their identity.

“You can say I got retired at 21.” That’s a luxury, because than you work for your hobby and happiness, not for surviving. And most of people choose their jobs and profession for financial purpose.

It’s so nice to see someone who has a lot of money (specifically someone who didn’t work for it) be more humble and care about others, the contrast between this guy and the guy from the son of a billionaire video is just crazy

The fact that nobody talks about the book whispers of manifestation on borlest speaks volumes about how people are stuck in a trance

He seems so humble. I love that he won it and especially that the first thing he bought was an N64. I hope he played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. 😁

This guy is actually awesome, he has his own Channel now on YouTube interviewing other lottery winners and also speaks about how positive thinking really influences your physical circumstances. I’ve been watching a lot of the interviews he does with the people who won millions and the one thing I’ve noticed they all have in common is that they either believe strongly at one point they will win or they have a strong urge to buy a ticket that comes out of nowhere . Interesting

The ignorance of people thinking they are entitled for a lottery winner to help them is wild.
