How To Get My Music On Spotify Playlists | Avoid The Bots!

Getting your music on Spotify Playlists can be a game changer for you as an independent artists and expand your reach rapidly, but it's easier said than done. There are three types of Spotify playlists that we can get our music onto. The first, and holy grail, would be an official Spotify editorial playlist which are very challenging to get on until you've built a buzz. The next would be an algorithmic playlist such as Discover Weekly or Release Radar which will usually show users who follow you your new stuff. The third, and possibly most dangerous, are user curated playlists. These can range from your personal gym workout track list all the way to MASSIVE playlists that rival those Spotify editorial playlists. The question is...how do we sort through thousands of those playlists, find contact info, and navigate the process of submitting our music to them...all while avoiding the dreaded botted and inactive playlists? Well I break that all down in this video.

It’s always going to be easier said then done. Most successful stories probably didn’t ever get on a playlist until they already blew up. It would be nice to have our music put onto these playlists, and these are great tips to try and accomplish that. But never try and convince yourself that getting onto a playlist is the end all be all of your music taking off. There’s many ways these things can happen! Patience is key. Good luck everybody! If it’s meant to happen, it’s going to happen!

I have had some success with Submithub. Only invested $80 and got several of my lofi songs added to playlist. One was a pretty popular playlist by Chill Select. If you use Submithub pay close attention to the genre they are looking for and ALWAYS request feedback. This will increase the chances they will actually listen and if they don’t accept they have to explain why. Just might help get your song added if they don’t want to do the work
