Did you just use a flathead screwdriver to push the tabs? And I am assuming that all you do after you have the cap off is pull those two black tabs up to release the glass then replace?

Very helpful video..thanks!....but I have a Jetta does not have the turn signals. When ordering new caps do I need to specify with or without signals? Or are they all the same?

Awkward angle to film, because of the release clip position...but with a little patience, this video saved lots of frustration!

I broke it! it's better to remove the mirror glass first!
