Wii controller not working

I don’t think that’s a legit Wii mote. The “Wii” logo is missing at the bottom of the controller

Tear it apart and clean the contacts between the button and the metal pads on the board. I’m pretty sure they need those special triwing kind of screw so make sure you have that.

Get a triwing screwdriver and unscrew the 4 screws. Than get a butterknife or something and pry open the tabs (they need to be pushed in and they are at the front of the remote on the inside) Than see if the button pad thats underneath where that button is dirty or ripped. If not than clean the bronze circles (button contact points) with a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol (does not matter if 70 or 91)

Trying to connect a Wii remote to my WiiU and it doesn’t seem to work. I press the sync button on my Wii U then press the sync button on my Wii Remote. If I press it once it will flash blue for a second then stop flashing. I have to press sync multiple times on the remote to get it to continuously flash. But regardless it never syncs up. New batteries, two different remotes still doesn’t work. Unplug sensor and plug back in, reset device — still doesn’t work. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I am using a “rock candy” wii remote and am wondering if that could be the problem?
