This has become my favorite video, especially around the 50 minute mark where the shift-turn shurn dance is done. I also have found that making a small trigger move of the pelvis to the left (powered by a small push outward by the right foot) and then using the left foot to push outward to get the pelvis shifting back to the right, and then feeling like the right foot is resisting this shift and deflecting the force upward and having the right hip go up and around taking the upper body into a big, strong backswing. I find when I get what I call a "big, strong" backswing I can hit some great shots with much more power and length. Leads to an almost effortless in the downswing feeling. Especially on those shots where I finish in balance. And I am an over 70 year old golfer. Great instruction and application of science to golf instruction and teaching.

Dear Dr. Kwon: on reviewing this video, are the introductory three graphic motion diagrams representations of what an ideal swing should look like or are they a representation of this golfers swing, and, if so, the before or after? They look like what we all should be doing. In the diagrams the downswing is shallower than the backswing and the face-on view shows the hand path narrower in the downswing, much like Hogan depicted in his Five Lessons book. Is this the swing we should strive for? Great insight on how early in the downswing the left leg begins to apply pressure into the ground. The transition from backswing to the shallower downswing reminds me of a mini-A Swing move ala David Ledbetter.

Hello .. love your videos.. you’ve added 60 or 70 yards on my drives . Thank you for that . Is the iron swing similar . Many thanks

After trying this many times I got to the point where the backswing actually got me shifting weight to front foot it took many, many swings to get there. Not sure if that is correct but my ball flight got a lot straighter (was a slicer).

I feel that the correction he improved on was impact leading shoulder over lead leg more. Hope I got it right.
