When Clinton's emails turned up on her husband's laptop, Abedin says she was "so shocked, so shattered... I felt responsible. I felt as if in those last 10 days if she lost it would be because of us."

It was March, 2019, and I was coming from Yale University Hospice where my brother was dying of cancer when my sister told me of the time she received a phone call from Huma Abedin. This was in the 90s, and my sister and her now late husband owned a furrier business in NYC; and Huma and Hillary were visiting the city at time-and Hillary decided she wanted a custom made fur coat. My now late brother was a musician, and he performed for the Clintons at their second inaguaral (Jan, '97); after which he received a thank you letter, and a copy of a poem, from Bill Clinton. In 2016, they both voted for Trump. Btw, my sister does a great impersonation of Vivian Blaine, singing 'Take Back The Mink', from "Guys And Dolls". True.

HRC lost both attempts to become president ALL on her own. She ran TERRIBLE campaigns and never sold the idea that she was a passionate advocate for the USA's long-suffering wage-earners (the traditional Democrat platform and voters), but instead never missed an opportunity to appear as one with deep-pockets corporate interests. Being that she is in fact a full-on corporatist, that's not exactly earth-shattering news or unexpected. But what flat-out killed her chances for victory was that her powerful aroma of entitlement followed her everywhere - absolutely everything else in the campaign was secondary as far as making an impression. Real Democrats don't DO royalty and it was a huge mistake to go there - it was fatally off-putting. Certainly enough to cost her the White House - twice. Full disclosure - I held my nose and voted for her anyway, having a studied understanding just who her opponent in the main event was and what his victory would do to the country. I was right about her - and I was right about him, but I'd trade years off my life to have been wrong...
