This sucks. Tech was supposed to make our lives easier buy all I see are more homeless people and depressed people. At least I got to enjoy the 90s

Does anyone know the statistics of positions that were laid off? Just so we know which jobs are typically at risk in these kinds of situations.

Not surprised. They thought we’d be virtual forever during the pandemic. I remember huge hiring in tech and across during covid.

Of course Microsoft had to layoff all of those people. How else would the company be able to afford that private Sting concert for top company executives? Nadella apparently is blind to how bad the optics of this looks...or he just doesn't care.

Think of the ramifications at the four-minute Mark where he states that people could easily find another job that's not the point the point is that people work they dedicate themselves their work-life towards their company that doesn't appreciate them after all the effort and energy when they can simply say well they can just find another job easily that disruption and healthcare that disruption in living arrangements that an obstruction in financial discourse is all passed down to the essential workers all the companies stand on the high diving platforms to jump into their vast wealth depositories like Scrooge McDuck

The new matrix movie is kinda starting to become spot on : it will be more buying experiences that you’ll be able to translate over to the real world in a VR world coming soon . Such as “going shopping at target” . Or going to buy a phone at apple, going to a concert, anything that can now recreate a real word experience from the comfort of you’re home will soon become our reality . Mark my words .

Sporting events, everything will be soon in a VR world .

So much for paying over asking price and waiving all home inspections. 😢

Microsoft had the decency to host a Sting concert just before the layoffs. Sting got over a million dollars. Gotta say the company has class when they kick people out on the streets. What a wonderful concert 😂

Record profitability essential workers forced to continue their work to maintain Goliath profitability remember that folks one of the richest men in the world says his poor little company just can't survive unless it gets rid of the people that supplied him with his wealth, nothing to see here move along move along
