Ship more, and do not forget about marketing. Then it is easy to make money back. Sure, you always have to invest the time, but that's part of the learning.
My first few apps were made close to nothing, but I learned much building and launching them.

I think a lot of folks do software development thinking it will be easy-street getting paid. In my mind it's about as easy as it would be working a 9-5 job without the bonus of having the exercise or the negative of having all the stress. I'm just starting to know my way around development and have an app that makes .25 cents a month. But when I first started it before the update it only made .05 cents a month. You need good features and a good UI if you want people to download your app. Plus you need to solve a pain-point for your end-users. Sure there are outliers but what makes one successful is if one sticks with it. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither should one's app be built in a day. It also takes time to learn the ropes.

Hey Flo, thanks for your great videos.
I started learning SwiftUI with last year's and relatively quickly started developing my own app and relying less on courses. Especially your widget series really helped me at that time.

I wanted to ask you if you are planning a video in the future about how to monetize apps at the appstore as an EU citizen (or as a German).

Especially the tax side worries me a bit. Currently I plan to register a kind of small business and offset the whole thing via income tax. However, there is no video or tutorial that sufficiently explains how to deal with the IRS returns, for example. Maybe that would be a video idea for you that there is really very little free information. Especially for smaller developers who don't do this full-time, I find it extremely complicated to find information or people who have gone this route.
