Laurel Patterson, Director of SDG Integration at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will talk about how the COVID-19 pandemic brought home the reality of interconnected challenges and first-person experience of the uncertainty that is generated when complex challenges cascade and collide. While many approaches help to identify emergent risks and see the bigger picture in systems, getting precise on where and how to act, including how to influence decision makers and build meaningful coalitions, is essential. This requires a dynamic skill set and mind set. In this session, Laurel Patterson will share UNDP's flagship SDG Push which exemplifies this effort and what they have learned working with 100 countries on their most pressing development challenges.
