Can you use any c and k value where the inequalities work? Or is there a c and k value that you need to find?

But you choose a simple question. What if you face something like this
f(n) = 0.5n^2 + 2n
g(n) = n^2
then asked to prove it?

I've tried proving it. When f(n) <= c_2g(n), it was correct.
But when it came to c_1g(n) <= f(n), it was incorrect.

But my instructor proved that both of them was correct, so the whole thing is correct. I don't know how he did it, but he mentioned something about intersection. If both of them intersected at some point, then the whole statement is correct.
