What a genuinely good person. I'm sad to have lost him, but so grateful for what all he did for animals.

He touched my family's lives personally - my dad used to work for the Alaska Zoo and helped raise a baby elephant named Maggie. When Maggie's companion passed away, everyone now agreed that Alaska was no place for an elephant, so the zoo was not going to get a replacement, which would have left Maggie alone. Bob Barker paid to have Maggie flown to a sanctuary in California. My dad got to visit there to see her again a few years ago, and she was happy and well cared for. Maggie passed away in 2021, under her favorite tree and surrounded by her elephant family. We're so grateful to Mr. Barker for helping to improve her life so much. ❤

In December, I will increase my monthly donation. I wish I could do more, but I help spay and neuter cats in my native country. We all should do our part. The more we help and get involved, the more lives we will save. The love I have for a cat named Nala and Teddy's story touched my heart, and that is why I started doing my part. 😻

Yes! Maybe I'm biased, I did grow up in the 80s. Bob Barker most definitely indoctrinated that into our heads on sick days from school. Jk, it was always my favorite part of the show. We'd sit around and wait for it, just to scream it out

Thank you Bob Barker for bringing attention to spaying & neutering animals. Here in NYC, I became active in TNR for cats. The best is when you can find homes for the animals you TNR! They're not all ferals. Some are friendly/scared/lost strays.

I am so happy about the FBC spay and neuter clinic initiative. There is a recent TK example where a cat lover who couldn't make ends meet reached out to TK for spaying and neutering her cats. One was pregnant and gave birth for the last time at TK. The other cats were luckily not pregnant (or far enough, who knows) and were spayed and returned back to the owner, while that mom cat is still at TK to take care of her kittens. Remember, inflation and just the fact that the cat owner who's cat is at TK at the moment, was barely scraping by is why spay and neuter, although important, needs to be more accessible.
