thanks for the vid, the "flip 6" I have is almost visually identical to the real one, besides the tab that flaps up with the usb. the only manufacturing error that made me really question it at first was one of the side logos was ever so slightly tilted (you probably wouldn't even notice if you didn't look for it). The build quality feels really solid but the audio quality is definitely flat, the audio controls are backwards, and of course its a hold for power on/off. some advice to anyone wondering, if you use the jbl portable app and it doesn't pick up your device, that's an easy tell tale that you may have a fake, if it picks up your speaker you don't have to worry about it (not all speakers are compatible with it but the flip6 is).

The fake one sounds tin can, its loud but bit distorted while the real taking it easy, smooth and clear

just got a fake flip for £10 and i'm impressed with its performance. granted its not as loud but for a tenner i can't complain. i use VLC and can adjust to make it sound great

I just bought a Flip 6 from a local retailer. the seller told me they sell original stuff but I didn't listen to him I just bought it. when I came back home I saw comments about fake JBL products! just found your video to see the differences between real vs fake and thank goodness I got the real thing. thank you sir for the video.

Another thing you don't notice is that there is a very subtle little word around the button for original..u hav to use your camera phone macro mode than u can read it..

Mine has the same things like the real, but it has a flap under the FLIP 6 logo.

I know they don't sound as good but can you pair them with the real deal right now I have five of them around my bedroom with two boomboxes all connected as like a couple for my car and are they mono or stereo is there a huge sound difference and last but not least again they do not pair correct with the authentic JBL or another question do the fakes pair with each other if not the authentic?

I have a VERY VERY convincing flip 6. It's very similar to the real one, the only difference being a minor change in color and the letters "JBL" on the speaker protruding.

I was just told by JBL that a speaker I returned to them for service was a fake. I purchased this speaker from a Walmart, it came in an authentic box but is definitely a fake.

They updated this fake copy. They got the recessed logo, the M button is now Bluetooth button. People the real speaker costs $90-120
If the price is too good to be true, then it probably is. Keep safe out there

The inside of the charging ports of a real JBL is usually always orange also I have noticed, like the real one in this video.
