I discovered your channel a few days ago. Great stuff. Today I came to look for instruction on installing spring hinges for doors and also landed on this video.
I have to stress that most people should avoid having locks that are "on the grid" or at least have one that is off the grid as much as your family can manage. It's good that you don't have yours on WiFi.

Very cool! I had no idea about the deadbolt lock with wristbands. I have two young kids and that would be great for when they play outside.

What about all of the security flaws? Both physical and cyber. Not to mention firmware that may never be updated or reliance on servers that could get shut down.

not seeing on your web site how to email you. I bought a fixer-upper. One room has thick redwood horizontal paneling. It is sun faded in places, dirty, and has a flaking varnish on it. What do you recommend for cleaning this up? Surely I am not going to have to sand the entire room; the v grooves between the boards will be a nightmare.

Do I got the smart lock. I say it to lock itself after I shut the door. The problem is, from the outside, it will lock, then unlock itself and the door starts open. Do you know how to fix this?

While cool, I disagree with the Smart Lock, especially in Canada. Anything that moves the deadbolt itself eats up batteries alot, and in the cold winters, just an issue waiting to happen (ask me how I know). You can still have coded deadbolts that you manually turn the knob, so no motor to use up battery life so the batteries last longer. Im just not a fan of something that can be opened automatically by a FOB or phone, and have it accidently open from your phone (it happens).

scratchy audio. also will never install a lock that connects to anything. defeats the purpose.
