In Ukraine, Russian forces are targeting the Black Sea coast. Ukrainian military officials say air strikes hit both residential buildings and port infrastructure Tuesday in Odesa and Mykolaiv. CBS News foreign correspondent Holly Williams joined Jericka Duncan and Vladimir Duthiers to discuss how those attacks may threaten a deal to resume grain exports, and Russia's move to slash Europe's natural gas supply.

The lady says Russia's economy is enormously damaged - as if Europe's economy is undamaged (forget about Ukraine's). She is trying to put on a brave face after the sanctions flop.

A simple test question : who is going to freeze this winter, Russians or Europeans ?

Whose currency lost its value, euro or rouble ?

Who has to pay 20% higher price for oil and gas as it is priced only in dollars ? The Euro zone or the rouble zone ?

Western media is as lousy as its politicians. It has a 'free press' where the media (depending on the issue) supports its political elite by manufacturing consent. Free press does not mean it does not lie and distort. It has freedom to lie. There is no penalty for lying. Lying is only a problem if the receiving public realises it is deceived, and the particular media loses credibility. However, the receiving European public is unquestioning in matters like Russia, then it is possible to lie, distort, portray false hopes and project wishful thinking as reality. The politicians, media and public are united in their view that NATO expansion was not a problem, Ukraine has the right to invite NATO and put missile and naval bases threatening Russia, and that is its inalienable sovereignty. There can be no question why NATO wants to expand and threaten Russia.

The politicians got Europe into a mess and their media tells us that puny Europe is stronger than Russia.

I thought Russia was running out of weapons, ammo, hardware, etc. I thought Putin was dying, like of a different disease each two weeks. I thought Ukraine was winning EASY thanks to the heroism of The Ghost of Kiev and Ben Stiller. Who could imagine that “evacuation” actually means surrender, “strategic withdrawal” means running for the hills dropping weapons, leaving wounded and equipment after total rout? How are they going to call Ukraine’s unconditional surrender? May be strategic evacuation across the polish border .

Oil and gas revenues for Russia have surpassed levels before the war even began, as well as the ruble being the strongest currency it is ever been. Sanctions have not heard Russia, sanctions are hurting Europe and America. Russia has plenty of fuel and food, whereas the EU and United States have nothing but paper currency

This is actual proof of what I stated about Russia wanting Ukraine because of there resources, oil, steel, agriculture, grains, energy out, and coastal properties, and ports. So Russia reaching over the border to get these only hurts Ukraine, and anyone that gets grain.
