What a lazy take. Look I like Angel, but she is not even close to playing as elite as Caitlin Clark and it should be acknowledged that way. Nor is Angel having the same impact on the WNBA as Caitlin Clark! That also has to be acknowledged! Caitlin and the whole Fever team: Kelsy, NaLyssa, Aliyah, Lexi, Temi came to Chicago and ruled the floor. Someone at the game said it was 70% Caitlin/Fever fans to 30% Sky fans. Clark 22 jerseys were everywhere. I think it is time for the media to give up on this whole Angel vs Caitlin it really isn't a thing so stop trying to compare the two. Caitlin is elite and Angel is just a good player.

Lets be honest. The increase in interest and viewers in Caitlin Clark, PERIOD. The absolute, hands down Superstar is CC. CC breaks records just as a matter of course, playing great basketball, and striving to be the best, and to help her team win games. Her focus is not breaking records, or padding stats. Last night, at a point where the Fever was up by about 27 points, the Indiana Fever pulled their starters, and put 2nd and 3rd stringers on the court. Chicago did similarly, with the exception of Angel Reese. The sole goal at this point was milking a "double double" out of AR, whose play through the game was simply mediocre. Not the first time this blatant "stat padding" has occurred with AR. And it totally devalues the supposed double double records. And when CC left the game to thunderous applause from the Chicago crowd, she already had her double double etched in stone, with a record 31 points, and 12 assists. She is the real McCoy. And, despite all the attempts at gaslighting, WE KNOW IT!
