Zain adapting to the laser the very next game and immediately nailing the blind power shield is just a level of awareness and skill that I can't even comprehend

"Wanna see something jank?" in the tone of "Wanna see a dead body?"

Also OBVIOUSLY YES

Its absolutely insane how much science and technical quirks go into melee, especially on pro level

A mischievous trick when using G&W in port one, and assuming your opponent chooses a port that puts them on top plat, you can up b instantly and hit them before GO is off screen.

I love more discussion on port differences in Melee! Everyone talks about the throw hitstun and ledge/grab frame tie things, but this difference rarely comes up. What's even rarer is people talking about how on Battlefield and FD specifically, the RESPAWN positions depend on port, too. On every other stage you always respawn in center, but on those two, P1 and P4 respawn more centrally whereas P2 respawns in the left corner and P3 in the right corner. As someone who always goes to ledge during my opponent's respawn invincibility, I love when they are on P2 or P3 because I can make sure to get on the opposite side ledge and they have to waste half their invincibility just crossing the stage!

The one change post-Melee that all players can agree was a strict improvement:

Round start was standardized to actionable at the same time at the same neutral state.

So awesome how some of my favorite artist’s new music comes with a free highly edited melee video

An inconsequential mechanic for a game I don’t even play, and yet I am absolutely captivated by this video 😆 Amazing job!

This video made me undestand why people try to decide who is going to be player 4 at the start of every match on tournaments. Thank you.

Wanna vouch for your merch store man! Recently bought and framed a print for a friend for his birthday and he loved it!
He was the one who got me onto melee like 7 years ago and it felt like a great full circle moment. Happy to say all your work is as visually appealing as your videos!

The production and editing are insane. I’d be fascinated to see a such a high-quality breakdown of round start interactions like this in other fighting games.

I don't know why the algorithm keeps recommending me Nintendo game esport related stuff, but I just find it fascinating how Nintendo keeps making games that are deliberately unbalanced to prioritize a fun party-game atmosphere only to have them become massive esports that Nintendo actively tries to squash every chance they get, to no avail. It's something many companies try desperately to achieve and fail, yet Nintendo is trying to fight off the esport people with a stick and their games are still being made into hyper-competitive tournaments despite their best efforts. I can't help but find that irony hilarious.
