Ghost town full of life, Oatman Arizona, the old west comes to life with a motorcycle rally.

Oatman, Arizona is named after Olive Oatman, a young girl who was captured and enslaved by Native Americans in 1851. Olive and her younger sister Mary Ann were taken captive while traveling by wagon to California with their family. Olive's parents and four siblings died in the attack, but a brother managed to escape. Olive and Mary Ann were later sold to the Mohave Indians, who adopted Olive and tattooed her face in the custom of the tribe. Olive was released in 1856 at Fort Yuma and became a de facto member of the Mohave tribe until then.

Oatman is a small town on the old route of Highway 66 in Western Arizona. It's mostly a tourist stop today, with saloons, museums, restaurants, and quaint shops stocked with a wide variety of local items. Oatman was a bustling mining town in the early 1900s, producing over 1.8 million ounces of gold. However, after the mines closed in the 1940s, the town was nearly abandoned.

Was here about 15 years ago and then more recently and it has changed a lot, much more touristy-kitschy now, but still a neat place.

I used to work at the only operating gold mine there. I was on my day off during biker run and playing and singing at a bar outside. There was a woman that was teasing a jack ass and it finally kicked out with its back two legs. They landed squarely on an old Honda, which was next to a Harley, which was next to... looked like dominoes. Each bike rolled against the other, all the way down the street. The burro got away.😂😊

Having had as many as 60 horses at a time and bitten by the gentlest mare below my ribs, I can say the the guy at 9:55 is nuts doing that with a wild burro.
