Had E.ON smart reader installed. It displays electrical meter reading but my gas reading always shows went through E.ON and after sending photos they told me the smart meter was faulty, but out of warranty as I had been with them over a year and I could purchase a new one. The concept is good, the execution and onslaught of excuses when they can't get their own technology to work is not.

Absolutely sane here. Mine worked fine for a couple of months came home one day and it was saying waiting for current data and not showing any data I could see before.. Many attempts to re store the connection myself has failed and tried calling my energy provider to see if they can help. They said could be the meter had that day they hadn't been able to get readings. She basically said it should start working itself just leave if turned on. After 4 days sitting on the worktop doing nothing I have chucked it in the bin 😄🤣

My smart meter is the same but it says bill this period ..what does period mean? Does it mean for this month ?

How do I read my electricity meter reading when i have a day and night rate only showing one reading on the meter reader display?

mine is stuck on the energy sign and wont move. I have disconnected it and plugged it back in but it wont go off it. I have sent a e-mail with photo but nothing back yet, meanwhile my usage seems to be going up. I sometimes wonder if this is because i rang them yesterday and mentioned that they were charging me too much as i hadnt hardly had my heating on but the price was still £150 a month, but according to my meter iwas only using £65 a month

At what time of day does the display start its 24 hour cycle? Sometimes it has just started when I get up in the morning, other times its halfway round the dial. I have given up on it now and simply ignore it.
