Jerry Buss started SHOWTIME. He brought in cheerleaders to the league, drafted Magic Johnson, and they implemented a running game like no others. SHOWTIME spread around the league. That put the NBA on the trajectory that continued through to today. The Lakers were MFers during that era, going to the NBA finals championship 9 times. Winning the NBA championship 5 times.
