People are ripping her apart for not floating away but it’s human nature to wanna live. The fact she was fighting that urge for survival is commendable enough. Because most of y’all would let Calvin right back in.

It’s not in the clip, but right after this scene, Sho mentions that Calvin can get back in the ISS via the thrusters. Can someone explain how this is possible without causing a leak or breach in the station, and exposing the crew to the vacuum of space?

What a great scene. Shows the remarkable strength of human's will power. It is this kind of will power that keeps the human race prosperous. Life's instinct would always be its self-preservation, but humans can from time to time prioritize the preservation of other people, of the community, over him/herself; In other words, sacrifice herself for the greater good. Just remarkable.

Plot Twist: When Calvin went to Earth he died from the Coronavirus

Biggest plothole: calvin came from an extremely small sample of martian soil. Its safe to say they could have kept looking for more organisms in that same soil. So keeping calvin alive was pointless.

this scene was intense .. even after she died and calvin jumped back to the ship, the movie right there gave me emotion like fnck this creature killing everybody

Sadly, even if she did push herself away, he can push himself off her and make it back - there's no way she can overpower it and push it out into space herself. She was trying to get to the airlock and, I believe, their plan was to blow it out of there. That would have worked if they got lucky. As we see later on, he has a tough time with that kind of stuff.

It makes sense that someone, who is drowning, would think as long as Calvin is out of the station then they're safe. She did close the valve he shot out of and who would consider the thrusters as an entry point in that moment? She didn't think she'll make it and didn't want to risk anyone's death. The coolant is even said to be toxic to swallow. I'm unsure right now if that affects Calvin. Anyway, rather impressed with the film.
